    • Preparing for BMAT

What do I need to bring to the test?

You must bring valid photographic identification to the test (passport, driving licence or provisional driving licence, or student ID).

Make sure you bring the equipment you need: soft pencil and eraser for Sections 1 and 2 and a black ink pen for Section 3. Use of correction fluid is not permitted.

Dictionaries (including bilingual dictionaries) and calculators are not allowed.

Do not bring food or drink into the test room (apart from a clear bottle of water with any labels removed).

Your university may give further instructions about what to bring or do on the test day.

What do I do if I need Access Arrangements?

If you have any special requirements for taking the test, you need to inform your university as soon as possible.

Do I qualify for special consideration? How do I apply?

Requests for special consideration are used to indicate to institutions that a candidate suffered temporary illness, injury or indisposition at the time of the assessment. They may also be used to indicate that there were problems with an aspect of the administration of the test, such as a fire alarm during the test session.

Can BMAT results be queried or appealed?

Yes, you can submit a Results Enquiry.

For certain tests, if a candidate thinks a Malpractice case or a Results Enquiry outcome was incorrectly handled, they can submit an Appeal.
