Important information about BMAT – September 2021
Due to the ongoing challenges of the global Covid-19 pandemic, BMAT – September will not go ahead in 2021.
For details about an alternative test session and all of the latest information, please visit our dedicated Covid-19 page.
If you are applying for Medical and Dentistry courses at certain universities, you can take the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) in September. If you’re applying to study in the UK, this means you will receive your BMAT result before the UCAS application deadline.
BMAT is a 2-hour medical admissions assessment designed to test your thinking skills, your ability to apply scientific knowledge and your communication skills. The test is used alongside other parts of the application process.
Applicants must only take BMAT once in an admissions cycle. Taking the test twice may be viewed by a university as an attempt to gain unfair advantage.
BMAT – September will not go ahead in 2021, therefore no universities are currently accepting this test session. We will share the list of universities that accept BMAT – September once it's running again.
