Important information about Cambridge pre-registration assessments 2022

Both the registration deadline and the test dates are earlier than in previous years.

  • The final registration deadline is 30 September. No late registrations will be accepted after this date.
  • The test date is for BMAT and TMUA is 18 October. The test date for ENGAA and NSAA is 19 October.

About University of Cambridge pre-registration assessments

We work with the University of Cambridge to produce and deliver a range of pre-registration assessments. These assessments are required for a number of undergraduate courses, as part of the application process.

The courses currently using the pre-registration assessments are listed below.

The assessment procedure for mature students is different to other students. In some cases mature students are not required to take a pre-registration assessment. For full details, visit the University of Cambridge website.

If you are applying to study Mathematics, you need to take the Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP). This test takes place in June of Year 13.

No. Extra time is not allowed for candidates without English as their first language.

Am I allowed a calculator for the assessments?
