Registration deadline for the 2022 admissions tests
Please note that the registration deadline for the University of Oxford admissions tests 2022 is 30 September. This is two weeks earlier than in previous years.
Please note: we reserve the right to make changes to these dates.
*If the registration deadline falls on a public or national holiday, please be aware there is no extension to the registration period. Therefore, you must ensure your test centre registers you for the test in good time.
Reminder: the 30 September deadline is the last date for test centres to register you for the test, so you will need to register with a test centre well before then. Test centres may set their own deadline in advance for accepting registrations, so please make sure you speak to them as early as possible.
** Test voucher codes enable UK students in financial need to take the test for free at British Council authorised test centres in the UK.
*** For international test centres the scheduled start times will vary, depending upon where they are in the world.
There is a registration fee to take BMAT, see BMAT dates and costs for details.
You don’t need to pay a registration fee for any of the other Oxford admissions tests.
However, if registering via an authorised centre, you may need to pay an administration fee – speak directly with the centre to confirm costs. It’s always best to check with your school/college first if they can administer the assessment for you to avoid this cost.
UK students who need to take a test at an authorised test centre and who are in financial need can take admissions tests for free at one of the British Council authorised test centres in the UK.
You need to apply to us for a test voucher code that you can use instead of payment in your online booking with the British Council. The test voucher codes cover the full cost of the test, including administration fees.
To apply for a test voucher code, follow these steps:
1. Check that you meet the eligibility criteria (in the table below) and ensure that you have the relevant supporting document(s) for your application.
2. Complete the application form including uploading the relevant supporting document(s).
3. Receive your test voucher code within five working days by email.
4. Book your test via the British Council online booking portal before 30 September at 18:00 (BST).
If you have already paid for your test, you can still apply for a test voucher code by 5 October 2022. Please contact our Customer Support team at ATadministration@cambridgeassessment.org.uk
Data collected from applications for a test voucher code may be used for research purposes. Details regarding how we collect, store and process your data can be found in our Data Privacy Policy .
