How to prepare
We recommend that you prepare for your test(s) using the free resources available on our website, such as specimen and past papers and test specifications.
You can use specimen and past papers to:
- familiarise yourself with the test content, level and format
- see the different types of questions that you may be asked
- test yourself under timed conditions
- review your answers.
Preparation materials for BMAT, TMUA, STEP and TSA Oxford are available on this website.
For University of Oxford admissions tests and University of Cambridge pre-interview assessments: preparation materials are available on the universities’ websites. Links to these and other tests can be found on the test pages below:

Anyone offering a paid service to help you pass your admissions test(s) will have no more knowledge than someone who has read this website and studied past papers. So while your performance at any test will improve with some familiarisation or practice, we would not advise you to pay for such help.
