Medical schools in Poland are increasingly using the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) to support their international student recruitment for Medicine and Dentistry degrees. Ilona Berowska from Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing said: ‘BMAT is becoming a valuable tool for student recruitment in the medical sector in Poland. It’s really encouraging to see more universities using BMAT to help them find the students with the skills they need to thrive on their course.’
BMAT tests students’ ability to apply scientific and mathematical knowledge, as well as problem solving, critical thinking and written communication skills that are essential for university. There are four BMAT test dates in 2019, with the February and May sessions being suitable for Polish medical schools.
Ilona recently spoke on the topic of recruiting international students for Medicine and Dentistry using BMAT at „Studenci zagraniczni w Polsce 2019” – an international higher education event in Warsaw.
BMAT is currently used by the Medical University of Warsaw and Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, with a number of other universities looking to find out more following the event.
